The Zachariah Continued Education Scholarship Program

The Zachariah Continued Education Scholarship program was started in 2015 at our partner school HCS in Kolkata, India.  It was setup to allow underprivileged children that have done very well at HCS Elementary school the ability to continue their education in an acrcredited school that provides secondary education.  Students will be funded for two years after graduating Class VIII.

We are really excited about this program as it allows students to get closer to making their dreams a reality.  Students are chosen based on need as well as aptitude.  There is a two year commitment between the students, parents and HCS.   As part of this program, HCS, not only pays for their tuition, admission fees, books, and uniform but takes on the responsibility of becoming their guardian and ensuring that they are successful. They meet with the teachers and parents regularly and monitor their progress.  The students also have to attend our after school program and are given lunch.

We currently have three girls in the program.   Girls that would most probably have been married off if they did not enter this program.   If you are interested in partnering with us in making the dreams of these girls a reality, please select one of the images to the right.

$50/month allow these students to attend an accredited school and pays for their admission, tuition fees, books, uniforms. This also includes attending our after-school classes where they get help and a healthy meal.
